Beaver Creek Fly Shop is very proud to offer some of the best names in the industry and sells only at suggested retail pricing! That's right, there's absolutely no mark ups beyond suggested retail which means the price you get here is the same price you would get on the internet, but please remember that if you buy it at our shop you get to look it over, feel it, and make sure it's the right piece of equipment before you buy AND you save the shipping costs!

Location Map

Welcome to Beaver Creek Fly Shop

Welcome to Central Maryland's premier fly shop and to the limestone jewel, Beaver Creek. Located on the banks of the Beaver, we're only 0.1 mile from route 70 at Exit 35 for Boonsboro, Route 66 South.

Beaver creek is a Limestone spring stream with healthy populations of rainbow and brown trout. Consistent water temps make it exceptional year round. When other creeks are drying up in the summer or stone cold in the winter, Beaver Creek still fishes great.

The dominant hatches are BWOs and midges, some caddis and stonefly activity.

The Best flies - cressbugs (Olive or gray sizes 20-12), scuds (Olive or gray 20-14), midges ( Red/bloodworm, Zebra, black diamond, brassie, etc), bwos 22-16, (Emergers, nymph, poxyback, and dries), caddis (larvae, pupa, dries sizes 22-16), stoneflies, sculpins, and wooly buggers.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I was given some information this morning that didymo has been confirmed in Big Hunting Creek in Frederick county. I want to remind everyone to please be careful with your boots if your coming from the Savage River, the Gunpowder or any other affected stream. I know that some of the wader wash stations around haven't really been kept up very well but now we are trying to organize a group of people to take care of them here on Beaver Creek. So after we visit one of the affected streams, the best thing we can do is make sure that our gear is completely dry, bootlaces and all equipment, before we go fishing somewhere else. Please use the wader wash station at the shop before going fishing on Beaver Creek!
